Hindu Gothic Gateway At Dromana Near Villierstown Waterford
Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland and is a walled city of Viking origins, it retains much of it's medieval character. Waterford is the home of Waterford Crystal, the world-famous handcrafted, cut glass.

An Rinn, Ring
The beautiful peninsula west of Dungarvan is home to a language, which is found in pockets of rural Ireland, mainly along the south and west coast. The Ring Gaeltacht overlooks the Dungarvan Harbour and is approximately 6 miles from the Dungarvan itself just off the N25 to Youghal and Cork.

Ardmore
Originally a 5th century monastic settlement, founded by St. Declan in 316 AD, it is reputed to be the first such settlement in Ireland. The monastery grew in eminence and, in the 12th century, was recognised as an Episcopal See.

Villierstown
Built in the 18th century by John Villiers, 1st Earl of Grandison, to service a linen weaving industry on his estate, Villierstown is a beautiful village with stone cut houses, which has won numerous accolades in the National Tidy Towns Competition.

Lismore
Built on the banks of the Blackwater, the town has been a hub of Irish life since medieval times when St. Carthage founded a monastery here in 636. It later became a celebrated international school. Henry II chose his site for a castle here in 1171 and the growth of Anglo-Norman influence during the late 12th century marked the decline of the monastery. Lismore Castle is the private home of the Dukes of Devonshire, Lismore Castle Gardens are open to the public. There is a Farmer's Market here every Sunday morning.

Coastal Drive
Waterford to Dungarvan
Leaving Waterford follow the N25 then take a left for Kill onto the R681 before you reach Kilmeaden. From Kill follow the signs for Bunamhon. From Bunmahon follow the coast road to Stradbally and Clonea. When you reach Dungarvan continue on the N25 and take a left to Ardmore on the R673 have a look around the village and have lunch in the White Horses restaurant its excellent. Continue on the R673 back onto the N25 heading for Youghal and Ardsallagh Lodge (Ardsallagh Lodge).

Comeragh Drive
From Dungarvan to The Pike N25. The Pike to Lemybrien you are still on the N25. Turn left in Lemybrien onto the R676 stay on this road until you reach Ballyhest Cross Roads; here turn left to Clonmel R678. Clonmel to Kilmanahan then Clogheen and Ballymacarbry on the R671. Then turn left before Ballynamult onto the R672 back into Dungarvan up the N25 to Blackwater House (Ardsallagh Lodge). In Clogheen there is a lovely restaurant called The Old Convent. Melody's Nire View Bar in Ballymacarberry is a famous pub with the locals.

The Vee
Leaving Ardsallagh Lodge take the N25 to Waterford turn left for Clashmore R671 to Aglish then to Villerstown up through Dromana Drive into Cappoquin. Keep left on the N72 for Lismore stop off for coffee in The Summer House. Head up north on the R668 to The Vee with spectacular views over the countryside. Then into Clogheen take right onto the R665 to Ardfinnan take a right to Newcastle to Tooraneena then into Dungarvan and back up the N25 towards Youghal and Ardsallagh Lodge.
